About Thomas
I’m Thomas, founder of Altasu. I’ve spent close to a decade in recruitment working with some of the world’s most ambitious companies, from FTSE 100 enterprises to cutting-edge startups — helping them build software engineering, data, and product teams that perform.
I’ve worked with organisations like Amazon, and over time I found myself increasingly drawn to the companies doing the hardest, most consequential work, the ones building technology that directly affects patient outcomes. That’s what led me to focus exclusively on MedTech and HealthTech.
What I do now is different from general tech recruitment. The companies I work with are operating in regulated environments navigating FDA clearances, EU MDR compliance, ISO 13485 quality systems, while simultaneously trying to scale internationally and move their products from one stage of growth to the next. The hiring decisions they make carry real weight. A wrong hire in a regulated environment isn’t just an inconvenience. It can set a company back by months.
My speciality has always been the roles that are genuinely hard to fill. The ones where the candidate pool is small, the requirements are specific, and the margin for error is low. That’s where I do my best work.
Throughout my career I’ve been recognised as a top performer at every firm I’ve worked with, award-winning across multiple years and consistently among the highest revenue generators in the businesses I’ve been part of. I don’t mention that to impress. I mention it because it reflects something about how I work which is with urgency, with precision, and with a genuine commitment to getting the outcome right.
